After an undefeated d1 season that included no less than TWELVE (12) straight shutouts, the FC Samoa U-13 girls had to wait out the last two weeks of the season in the Bay Area to see how their main rivals (Novato and Tiburon) would fare.
Coach Nick says " Having played every game on the road, and gone undefeated, we were very very proud of our second place finish. Humboldt teams rarely are able to pull off that kind of success south of Ukiah. To find out that (thanks to a dramatic season finale in which Novato toppled Tiburon) we were CHAMPIONS is a dream come true. These players are an incredible group, with supportive and savvy parents.This team will, I believe, outperform even our famous U-18s from two years back".
