DEFINITIONS
White Level Academy: sometimes referred to as pre-Academy. Deals with up to 10 of the 56 * curriculum components. Emphasis on utilizing these same elements in fun -but- thematic games.
Suitable for 8-9-10 year olds with D3 background, or highly motivated d4 (Rec) players.
Yellow Level Academy: deals with up to 25 of the 56 curriculum elements. Aimed at 11-12 year olds with a passion for soccer and a willingness to work hard. Theme "Mastery of the Ball- Mastery of the opponent" (most themes are 1 v 1 or 2 v 1 in nature. Ten year olds with a background in individual skill-focused work (eg with a skills trainer) may wish to try this level. For the d3 player interested in a d1 future, this work is critical.
A yellow shirt is earned upon completion.
Red Level Academy : In general, only for those who have earned their YELLOW shirt. Up to 40 of the 56 elements* are included (with special emphasis on aerial skill elements) (and prior proficiency on the first 25 elements is "assumed"). Ages 12-13-14. Suitable for d1 players or very well-rounded d3 players.
Goalkeeper School: Open to all Goalies, with or without prior GK training.FC Samoa reserves the right to subdivide goalie groups to better serve a specific age or level.
Ages 11-14 target age group.
